Andrea is a surface pattern designer based near the wonderful city of Munich in Germany. She grew up in Australia and lived in Berlin before moving to Bavaria so she has been influenced by different cultures and surroundings which also shows in her work. Since establishing her label Jolijou ((/shollishoo/) is derived from the french words joli (pretty) and jouer (play) reflecting the vision of creating pretty playful designs for the young at heart) in 2007, it has grown to be a well-known brand within the European sewing community and her blog is a source of inspiration for many. She has licensed work for several major companies in Germany, mainly fabric, sewing patterns and ribbons as well as selling kitchen and paper products in her Etsy and Dawanda shops.
